• Parking Permits and Senior Parking Space Painting

    Parking Permits

    Parking passes for Seniors  will go on sale for seniors beginning July 28, 2026. Juniors will be able to purchase passes beginning on August 10, 2026. The cost for a parking permit is $100.

    To purchase, please complete the following steps:

    1. Purchase your parking pass using the PWCS Quickpay Service
    2. Download, complete, and print the PWCS Student Parking Application

    Parking passes will be distributed and parking spaces assigned. The parking decal will have the same number as the assigned parking space.

    Once you purchase your permit online, you can pick up your hang tag during the following times:

    • Monday, August 3: 12 - 3 pm
    • Tuesday, August 4: 8 am - 2 pm
    • Wednesday, August 5: 8 am - 2 pm
    • Monday, August 10: 8 am - 2 pm
    • Tuesday, August 11: 11 am - 2 pm
    • Wednesday, August 12: 8 am - 2 pm
    • After school 8/25 - 9/11 from 2:30 - 3:30 pm

    Parking Space Painting

    • Cost is $35 (non-refundable)
    • Must pay via Student QuickPay beginning Tuesday, July 28
    • Must print out and complete the Senior Parking Design Request & the Painting Design Agreement
    • Must turn in to the school (main office) by Wednesday, August 12 at 3 pm to be considered for approval
    • Must be paper copies, no email/digital copies of requests please
    • Students will be notified by Friday, August 14 via their school email if their design was approved
    • All rules/expectations/dates for painting can be found on the Painting Design Agreement
    • You must have your parking pass before your design will be approved. The parking pass number must be on the design agreement

    Paper copies of all three documents can be picked up in the main office between 7 am - 3 pm daily if you are unable to print them.

    Expectations

    • You must purchase and pick up your parking permit prior to being approved to paint.
    • All designs must be approved by the school prior to painting.
    • Only water-based paint is allowed to be used. No glitter paint, oil-based, reflective paint, or spray paint is allowed.
    • All designs must adhere to the Prince William County Schools’ Code of Behavior.
    • The administration of Colgan High School reserves the right to not allow any design that is deemed to be offensive or controversial. The judgment on the appropriateness of design is at the sole discretion of the school administration.
    • The following are examples of things not allowed:
      • offensive language/pictures/symbols
      • negative or rude language
      • drug/alcohol references
      • double entendre (double meaning)
      • other student's names or likeness
    • All paint and supplies must be provided by the student.
    • You may only paint on approved days and during approved times.
    • Students must clean up all of their supplies and trash and take everything with them when they are done painting.
    • The building will not be open/available during painting times.
    • All spaces are numbered. Students may not paint in the area where the number is located. Students will be responsible to paying restitution if painting occurs outside of the approved area. This includes paint spills, splatters, etc…
