Attendance Information

• When a student will be absent, notification should be provided to the school before or at the start of the school day, when possible.
• To excuse an absence, written or electronic communication citing the reason(s) for the absence must be provided to the school no more than five school days following the date of the absence. 

How to report an absence

• Same Day or Pre-Arranged Absences (up to 30 days in advance of absence) can be reported in ParentVUE
• For Past Attendance, Email [email protected] from the email account associated with your ParentVue account. 
  • Provide your child’s first name, last name, and grade
  • Provide the date(s) or periods of absences
  • Provide the reason for the absence
  • Excuse notes should be submitted within five (5) days of the absence if possible. If you are unable to use the email address associated with your ParentVue account, a staff member may call to verify the note. 

• Students who are not in their classroom/first period by 7:30 a.m. will be marked tardy.
• Students who are not in their classroom by the start of each class period throughout the say will be marked tardy.
• A student's tardy will be recorded as excused or unexcused based on whether the reason for the late arrival meets the excused or unexcused absence criteria outlined in the PWCS Attendance Guidelines.

How to report an excused tardy

Send in a note with your student or an email to [email protected] that includes the following:

• Date 

• Reason for Tardy 

• Daytime Contact phone number 
• Parent Signature  Please note that 

• All Early Dismissal requests must be complete and processed by 1:45 pm.

• Please Note: ONLY a Parent/Guardian can authorize or request the release of a student 

  Please do not use the CCHS Attendance Email address OR ParentVUE when requesting early dismissals. Early Dismissals received in ParentVUE or the CCHS Attendance Email will be denied.+ 

  Last Early Dismissal Requests must be complete and processed by 1:45pm.

  • Daytime Contact Phone Number
  • Parent Signature  
• Immediate early dismissals, please call the school at 571.374.6550 and ask to speak with your child’s alpha administrative assistant 

  What Do I Do if I Want to Come in Person to Pick Up my Child Early?  

  Please Note: ONLY a Parent/Guardian can authorize or request the release of a student 

  • Bring a valid ID 
  • See Attendance Administrative Assistant
