Mr. Cavender is excited for another great year at Colgan High School. He is looking forward to helping coordinate events like Back to School Night and Trunk or Treat. Mr. Cavender wants to support teachers so they are best able to help students be successful in their classes and graduate with the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind necessary to create a thriving future for themselves and their community.

Mr.Cavender has been in education since 2007. He started as an English teacher in Charles County, MD before moving to Prince William County in 2012. After completing his MA in Educational Leadership and Supervision at The George Washington University in 2013, Mr. Cavender left teaching in 2016 to become an Instructional Coach with PWCS.

In 2017, Mr. Cavender became the Administrative Intern at Stonewall Jackson High School (now Unity Reed High School) and in 2019 he was promoted to Assistant Principal. Mr. Cavender transferred to Colgan High School for the 2022-23 school year to continue as an Assistant Principal.

Mr. Cavender has a son Graeme, who is a student in Fauquier County Schools. In his free time, Mr. Cavender enjoys disc golfing and spending time exploring the historical side of Virginia with his family. He is a loyal Detroit sports fan and proud supporter of Michigan football and basketball.

Lisa Burke, Administrative Assistant

Karyn Riddle is in her 27th year in education and has proudly spent her entire career serving the students, staff, and families of Prince William County Public Schools. A native of Prince William County, Mrs. Riddle attended Bennett Elementary School, Marsteller Middle School, and Osbourn Park High School.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Riddle has served as a high school mathematics teacher, teacher on administrative assignment, and assistant principal at Osbourn Park High School. She also spent eight years in PWCS central office, serving as the Leadership Development Coordinator in the Office of Professional Learning and as the Supervisor of Student Management in the Office of Student Management and Alternative Programs.

In 2018, Mrs. Riddle joined Colgan High School as an assistant principal. In 2024, she was honored by the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals as the Assistant Principal of the Year.

Mrs. Riddle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Longwood University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.

Eunice Alicea Matias, Administrative Assistant

Ms. Clark brings 14 years of dedicated counseling experience and an impressive track record of student success to our community. She recently served as the director of school counseling for summer school and completed the PWCS School Counseling Leadership Cohort. Over the past four years at Battlefield High School, she served as a school counselor, sponsored the National Honor Society, acted as her director’s designee, and achieved a 100% graduation rate for the students in her alpha range. Prior to her time at Battlefield High, she also served as a school counselor at Chancellor High School and Caroline Middle School.

Ms. Clark has built a robust academic foundation to support her leadership role. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia with a double major in African American Studies and Psychology and a minor in Media Studies. Additionally, she earned a master's degree in School Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University, a certificate in Instructional Design from Georgetown University, and an educational administration endorsement from Longwood University. 

Now in his ninth year as a Director of Student Activities and first year at Colgan High School, Mr. Wooten brings nearly two decades of experience in secondary education. A graduate of South Lakes High School in Reston, VA, he attended Howard University on a football scholarship, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He later completed a master’s degree in Education Administration from Liberty University.

Before joining Colgan, he served as Director of Student Activities at South County High School, Meridian High School, and Woodbury High School in Minnesota. Earlier in his career, he taught and coached football for eight years at South Lakes and also worked as a Systems of Support Advisor at Hayfield Secondary School.

Passionate about student achievement through extracurricular activities, Mr. Wooten strives to create opportunities that enrich students’ high school experience.

Mr. Wooten resides in Prince William County with his wife and two children and is an avid fan of Marvel movies and sports.

Mrs. Sita Ewell is in her eleventh year in education and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School. Prior to joining Colgan, she taught Health and Physical Education and served as the Athletic Coordinator at Beville Middle School. Her passion for athletics and student development began at the collegiate level, where she coached track and field and cross country at both Lamar University and George Mason University.

Mrs. Ewell earned her Bachelor of Science degree from McNeese State University, where she competed as a Division I student-athlete in track and cross country. She also proudly represented her native New Zealand at the World Cross Country Championships. She later earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and completed her Education Leadership Certification through James Madison University.

Dedicated to fostering meaningful student experiences and cultivating school pride, Mrs. Ewell is committed to supporting students as they grow as leaders, scholars, athletes, and community members. Her work focuses on creating opportunities for involvement, engagement, and personal development both inside and outside the classroom.

Mrs. Angie Yeh is in her 21st year in Prince William County. Since 2005, Mrs. Yeh was the general music teacher at Bennett Elementary School and she is in her second year as the Coordinator for the Center for Fine and Performing Arts Program at Colgan High School.

Prior to working in Prince William County, Mrs. Yeh earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Messiah College, and her Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance at The University of North Texas. In 2016, she was awarded the Distinguished Young Alumni Award from Messiah College.

As a trumpeter, Mrs. Yeh has performed and recorded with The North Texas Wind Symphony under the direction of Eugene Migliaro Corporon. She has also performed and recorded with the Messiah College Wind Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble. Her recording as off-stage soloist on Frank Ticheli’s American Elegy has met with critical acclaim. Angela Yeh is a five-time National Semi-Finalist at The National Trumpet Competition. She was also a semi-finalist in the Concerto Competition at the University of North Texas, and was the winner of the Keith Lance Kuhlman Performance Competition at Messiah College.

Currently, Mrs. Yeh resides in Prince William County with her husband and two children.

This is Dr. Majewski's 9th year in education, 5th in PWCS. Prior to coming to Colgan, he taught Math and Computer Science at Osbourn Park High School, as well as being the SAT coordinator for OPHS for the three years he was there.

Dr. Majewski earned his bachelor's in secondary mathematics education from Broward College in Florida in 2018 and his master's in educational leadership in 2020 from Lynn University. He recently earned his educational doctorate from Lynn as well.

He lives in PWCS with his wife, who is a teacher for PWCS, and he is excited about being a part of the Colgan community.

Mr. Foley spent 15 years in the classroom in both Prince William and Stafford Counties as a Social Studies Teacher. A collegiate athlete, he has coached wrestling, girls and boys soccer, and football, as well as guiding the Leadership and Student Council organizations at Patriot High School. He is married with one son and enjoys spending time with his family and pets on their farm and playing music in his free time.

Dana Heino is in her 10th year of education. She is excited to start her second year working at Colgan High School, after having spent eight years teaching eighth grade Physical Science at the middle school level.

Prior to teaching, Mrs. Heino spent 12 years working with young adults with developmental disabilities, helping them receive services in their homes and communities. This helped develop her passion for advocacy and working with students with disabilities. Mrs. Heino earned a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master of Education from Regent University and an endorsement in Administration and Supervision Pre-K – 12 from Longwood University.

Mrs. Heino believes that cultivating strong, authentic relationships with students is essential to creating a school culture where every learner feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed. In her free time, Mrs. Heino enjoys reading, cooking and going camping with her husband, four children and 2 dogs in their RV.
