Congratulations Nathan Staples, Director of Student Activities

Nathan Staples is a Prince William County native and is in his 12th year as an educator. Mr. Staples is a proud graduate of Potomac Senior High School. After high school, he went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Norfolk State University in Communications and Master’s Degrees from the University of Phoenix in Secondary Education and Educational Leadership. Mr. Staples has coached football, baseball, and track, as well as served as a sponsor/advisor to multiple clubs and groups.

Mr. Staples worked at Colgan as a Teacher on Special Assignment from 2018-2020. For the 2018-19 school year, Mr. Staples was voted by the Colgan staff as the new faculty member of the year. Additionally, the Class of 2020 voted Mr. Staples to be the faculty commencement speaker at graduation. After spending the 2020-21 school year as an Academic Dean in Virginia Beach, Mr. Staples returned to Prince William County. Since August 2021, he has been Administrative Intern at Colgan. He is excited to transition into the role of Director of Student Activities.
