Ms. Outlaw is very excited to return to Colgan High School as Social Studies Teacher for the 2019-20 School Year. Before coming to Colgan in 2018, Ms. Outlaw, who is originally from Alabama, taught middle and high school in the Middle East for 10 years. She looks forward to continue working in Prince William County schools and ensuring that all students receive a “world-class” education.
Ms. Outlaw earned her BA in History from Clark Atlanta University (Magna Cum Laude) and her MA in History from the University of Rhode Island. She is currently working on her PhD in Education, specializing in Education Policy, Leadership, and Management (P-20), at Walden University. With over 15 years of education experience, Ms. Outlaw has worked as a Youth and Community Development Volunteer with Peace Corps Bangladesh, a middle school Social Studies teacher in Baltimore City Schools, and most recently as a high school US History teacher in Kuwait. She hopes her classroom will be a place where students will grow as scholars, innovators, and transformers!
