Mrs. Manning comes to us with seven years teaching experience in Biology, Earth Science, and Oceanography. She began teaching in Fairfax County, at Mt. Vernon High School, and then moved to sunny California where she continued her career in Surf City, USA at Edison High School. She received her Bachelors in Biology from Indiana University and her Master's in Education from University of Maryland. Her postgraduate scientific studies include courses from George Mason, University of California San Diego, and Scripps Institute of Oceanography. Mrs. Manning’s personal life, and love of travel, has brought her all over the globe; providing a wealth of experiences she’s excited to share in the classroom. Lastly, Mrs. Manning has a minor in Vocal Performance, is a private vocal coach, singer/songwriter, and musical theatre actress. Mrs. Manning is teaching oceanography and advanced earth science this year at Colgan.
